Core Competencies
Through technology screening, we identify potential applicable approaches that, alone or in combination, can provide solutions for each site. These approaches may include technologies such as:
- Extended anaerobic bioremediation using Emulsified Vegetable Oil (EVO) substrates, amended with lactate quick-release substrates, and nutrients as needed to provide a customized formulation for the destruction of chlorinated solvents and sequestration of metals.
- Expanded bioremediation/abiotic destruction by including various ZVI to provide combined anaerobic biodegradation and abiotic destruction of chlorinated solvents, speeding destruction while expanding the suite of compounds treated.
- Aerobic Bioremediation Products/Solutions for sites contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates, and related additives, using various forms of supplied oxygen, including solid calcium peroxide, liquid hydrogen peroxide, and onsite generation of oxygen using the Microbubbler Oxygen System.
- Bioaugmentation application of consortia specifically selected to expand the existing bacterial populations and thereby enhance degradation under aerobic and/or anaerobic conditions.
- In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) provides the destruction of compounds using chemical oxidants such as sodium persulfate, permanganate, or hydrogen peroxide.
- In-Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR) provides the destruction of compounds using chemical reductants such as sulfates and sulfides.
